Covid-19 Guidelines from 19.7.21

At the Penventon Hotel, the health and safety of our guests and staff are our priority.
We have a fully instructed, trained and briefed team at the hotel, all of whom have your well-being as their number one priority. Since the outbreak commenced, we have kept ourselves fully informed as things unfolded and our hotel management team have introduced escalating risk mitigation measures.

We have implemented strict hand washing and hygiene procedures amongst our team and have drawn up an emergency plan to protect both our guests and employees. We are fully stocked with all relevant cleaning and disinfection products to help combat the spread of Covid-19, along with all hotel essential supplies.

Cleaning and Sanitisation procedures

In addition to our normal cleaning procedures, the public areas, the main entrance, reception, door handles, counter tops, tables, handrails and other key touchpoints are being sanitized and disinfected frequently each day and our night porters are also cleaning these same areas including corridors at night using the recommended disinfection products.

Guest rooms are receiving additional cleaning upon departure paying particular attention to touchpoints. We have added hand sanitiser to our public areas.

We understand the situation can be concerning, but we would like to reassure all our guests that we are closely monitoring the situation and following the guidance of Public Health England, the NHS and our Government.

We are very much open for business as usual, and only request that our guests follow our lead by example policy of hand washing thoroughly and catching coughs or sneezes in a tissue.

Amendment from July 19th 2021

Following the recent guidelines issued by our Government 12th July 2021, we are pleased to confirm that we will be safely easing some restrictions. As we gradually return to normal, we want to make sure you continue to feel safe when visiting our Hotel here in Cornwall. Many of our enhanced safety measures for our customers and team members will remain in place after 19 July. Our teams will continue to follow enhanced hygiene and safety processes, and our hand sanitiser stations will remain in place too. However, in line with Government guidance, we can begin to relax some of the measures here. Guests and our staff will no longer be required to wear a face mask and guests are no longer required to leave contact details for NHS contact tracing services. However, the NHS QR code will still be promoted around the Hotel for those who wish to use it.

Social distancing will no longer apply however our staff will keep a respectful distance from each other and our guests, wherever possible. Table sizes are now unlimited and you may mix with as many households as required. While we will still be offering table service, you can now stand, order, and drink at our Copper Bar if you wish!

Our hand sanitiser stations remain throughout the hotel for you to use, and we ask that you continue to use them, especially on entry to our Dining Galleries Restaurant and before handling items on the breakfast buffet.

We are still providing face masks at Reception if you require one and we will be servicing your room as usual, unless you ask us not to – and in this instance, items to refresh your room will be left outside your door.

Thank you for your support and we hope you will not be unduly put off visiting our beautiful County at this time and would advise you to check the Gov.UK website for the most up-to-date information:
